Student Process for Late Enrollment

In general, we encourage you to register and pay for classes before the term starts. In some circumstances, you may need more flexibility.

Only use these processes below to enroll in classes after the quarter has started. If you use these processes to try and register for a future quarter, you will be re-directed to your LionsLink account for the standard enrollment process.

 

Day 1 of the Term:

Enrollment is open through the first day of the quarter! If you need to add, drop, or swap classes, you can do so on LionsLink (ctcLink) through the first day of the quarter. You do not need any special permission to make these changes.

 

Days 2-5 of the Term:

On or after the second day of the quarter, you must have permission from the instructor to join the class.

Online classes (asynchronous or scheduled):

  • Fill out the Late Enrollment Request form.

In-Person classes:

  • Fill out the Late Enrollment Request form.
  • Attend the next scheduled class meeting and talk to the instructor about late enrollment.
    • If the instructor approves your request, you will stay and participate in class.
    • If the instructor denies your request, you will need to leave.  
 
 

In order to fill out Late Enrollment Request form you will need the following information:

  1. Your LionsLink ID number
    • If you do not know your Lions Link ID number, you can .
  2. The Course Code and Class Number and Name of Faculty of the class you want to take (example: ENGL& 101#56342, Wesley Mantooth). You can find this information in the 
 

Days 6-10 of the Term:

Generally, enrollment is not permitted after the 5th day of the term. In some circumstances you may appeal this deadline to the Vice President of Student Services.

To be eligible for an appeal you must have a:

  • Documented history of success in college, and
  • Plan to pay for classes upon enrollment, and
  • Plan for catching up on missed assignments.

To request an appeal:

  • Fill out the Late Enrollment Appeal form for each class
 
 

Day 11+ of the Term:

Enrollment is only permitted after the 10th day of the term if:

  • The class has not yet started, or
  • You have been attending class since before the 11th day of the quarter

To request an appeal:

  • Fill out the Late Enrollment Appeal form for each class
  • If approved, you will be charged a $50 late fee in addition to any tuition and fees for classes
 

Faculty Process for Late Enrollment

If a student initiates late enrollment using the form above between days 2-5 of the term, you will automatically receive the request in your ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø email and you can approve or deny the request electronically.

If a student approaches you in person to enroll for classes between days 2-5 of the term, you may use the form below to give permission.

Either way, the request form will require multifactor authentication to access.

To fill out this form you will need:

  1. The student's LionsLink ID number
  2. The Course Code and Class Number of the class the student wants to take (example: ENGL&101 #56342)
  3. Your ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø employee email address
  4. If applicable, the first day the student attended class
