The office of the president manages state and federal government relations for Lake Washington Institute of Technology. The president along with her designees:
- Advocate for ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø and the community and technical college system by maintaining and building relationships with the Governor's office, legislators, elected officials from ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø's service district, and partner agencies and organizations.
- Support the legislative agenda for the community and technical college system.
- Coordinate legislative engagement of college representatives.

- Washington Business Alliance
- Washington Technology Industry Association
