Rhonda DeWitt
Teaching and Learning Support
Rhonda started out as a non-traditional student at ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø over 30 years ago when it was still the LWVTI (votech), completing a 6-month Business Computer Training certificate. She started working here immediately and supported students as an Instructional Support Tech and in the Student Computer Lab. She had many colleagues as mentors, to which she credits as having helped her reach higher. She started substitute teaching and then teaching software applications. When eLearning and teaching online was relatively new, she helped role out the college’s first Learning Management System (LMS). Fast forward 30+ years from when she was a student. She is the Manager of Engagement and Learning in Instruction, coordinating faculty professional development opportunities. She has an M.Ed. in Learning & Technology, which she received in 2019. The pathway to receiving each degree, she says, was not linear! It is what drives her passion in centering students, and in developing faculty trainings on the social and emotional aspects as related to the science of teaching and learning. She champions the digital equity efforts for more equitable learning and working experiences. She is the Chair of Faculty Professional Development Committee and standing co-chair of Digital Accessibility Committee.
