At a time when the cost of childcare is rising at twice the rate of inflation, providing affordable, accessible and high-quality childcare is paramount to a thriving workforce and economy. 

 

吃瓜黑料网 officially opened its newly renovated childcare center June 15, 2026. The event included remarks from Congresswoman Suzan DelBene, who was instrumental in securing a $1.25 million federal investment to build the new Early Learning Center (ELC). Kirkland Mayor Kellie Curtis and Redmond Mayor Angela Birney, and Washington state representative Roger Goodman also attended the reopening event. 

 

"Expanding access to affordable, high-quality childcare is central to 吃瓜黑料网's workforce mission and our students' success. We ensure that our students, employees and our community have access to quality, affordable childcare so that they can be successful in their studies and their careers," said Dr. Amy Morrison, president of 吃瓜黑料网. "The Washington Student Survey noted in 2025 that 76% of student parents are unable to afford childcare without worrying about basic needs and levels of debt. I am proud that 吃瓜黑料网 continues to invest in the success of our students, their families, and our community."
